Ulugbek Shaislamov

Dr. Ulugbek Shaislamov is the head of the laboratory at the Center for Development of Nanotechnologies at the National University of Uzbekistan.

He has been engaged in scientific activities in the field of nanomaterials and nanotechnology for energy applications, particularly in the development of efficient photocatalyst materials for hierarchical, heterostructural nanomaterials for solar energy conversion, and understanding materials morphology and its impact on conversion efficiency.

With over 15 years of research experience at various universities and research institutes in South Korea, he completed his master’s and doctoral degrees in the field of advanced materials science and engineering at the Kumoh National Institute of Technology (South Korea).

He has also served as a visiting scientist at the KAIST-nanofab center (South Korea), where he gained extensive experience in the analysis of nanomaterials using advanced techniques such as SEM, TEM, TEM-electron holography, XRD, XPS, etc.

Later, he continued his research activities at Jeju National University (South Korea) as a research professor, focusing on the synthesis, characterization, and applications of metal and metal/semiconductor hybrid nanostructures for solar energy conversion applications.

Dr. Shaislamov has published numerous articles in high-impact journals and has an h-index of 14 (Google Scholar) and 12 (SCOPUS). He has also presented his research results at many international scientific conferences. He has received several awards for his scientific contributions.

Currently, he is leading two scientific projects on the synthesis and application of metal oxide semiconductor nanomaterials for energy conversion and storage applications.
